As Accounting Assistant titled as Account Specialist in H&M you have the ownership to ensure correct and timely accounting bookings, as per the Global Accounting Routines and local legislation. If you are naturally rigorous, scientific in your approach and you have an eye for detail, this might just be the role for you.  

Key Responsibilities:

• You are responsible for checking and making correct and on-time payments and bank reconciliation as well as Petty Cash Control.
• You manage the Fixed Assets as per the Global Accounting Routines and local legislation and secure bookings of all regular expenses during the month for accurate budget follow up
• You will make the correct bookings of the inter-company transaction invoices by ensuring full compliance with all relevant legal and tax requirements.
• You will regularly prepare monthly closing reports for the Manager/Accountant.
• You collaborate with the Statutory Auditors with all required information, support Manager/Accountant to provide local tax authorities with all required information and actions
• Report to Accountant. 

As the Accounts Specialist you deliver in the areas you have ownership of by living our values every day and through collaboration and teamwork. You partner with the key stakeholders locally and globally to maintain synergies with the accounting workflow. You also work closely with the external stakeholders and provide utmost effort to achieve customer satisfaction. You are the “Critical friend” – who can challenge the current process and champion the best practices and be a catalyst for improvement. To be successful in this role, you need to have strong analytical skills for anticipating potential challenges, suggesting optimizations, and resolving issues. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who have strong ownership and can work independently.

What you need to succeed:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in Finance/Accounting
• Knowledge on International Financial Reporting Standard, International Standard of Auditing, Income Tax act and rules
• Proficiency in SAP accounting software is preferable.
• Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously.
• Experience in coordinating and managing stakeholders in different region
• Have a flexible mindset, positive attitude, and be an inspirational team player.
