The goal of the Checkout and Order team is to make sure that the customer journey after adding to the cart, through the checkout, and until an order has been placed is as smooth and friction-free as possible and exported to all relevant systems. The team is fully responsible for the whole development cycle, design, build, test, deploy, evaluate, and repeat. The mindset “You build it – you run it “is key for us. We are measured on business outcome, not on code merges. The main KPI for the team is the checkout drop-off rate. The team also supports Customer Care applications and flows.

As the Tech Lead you will work hands-on together with a team of ambitious developers, drive the software development in .NET and be responsible for the system architecture. You will collaborate with the Product Owner in the checkout and order team as well as other Product Owners and the Online Sales Product Manager to solve complex engineering problems and ensure an aligned roadmap.  We search for people with an entrepreneurial mindset as we are still in our startup phase and directions can change and we need to adapt and never lose speed.

In short, you will:

• Provide hands-on technical guidance to the team
• Work with professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle
• Translate product strategy and requirement into suitable, maintainable, and scalable solution design to ensure that we, each day, are in a better position than the day before
• Ensure the architectural and strategic technical roadmap for the platform and be in the forefront of new features adding to the product

• Have leadership experience as a Tech Lead or of a similar role
• Have a seniority-level of experience in system architecture and building sites in Episerver 
• Have experience in Azure
• Excellent knowledge within DevOps and working with agile methodologies
• Understand full-stack development including techniques such as C#, .NET Core, SQL, Redis, vanilla.js, React
• You are passionate about innovative techniques. You're always up-to-date and love discovering modern technologies and ways of working for constant improvement
