As a UX/UI Designer at HealthEngine, you will shape the direction of our products, turning insights into innovative, transformative experiences. Oh, and your work will be seen and used by millions of Australians.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to reconcile user, business, and development needs.
• Gather and interpret user insights, feedback, and behavioural information to inform product needs and design.
• Facilitate design thinking workshops to identify problems, uncover solutions, and synthesise requirements.
• Organise and facilitate user testing to synthesize qualitative and quantitative research to inform and validate design decisions.
• Solve design problems during conceptual design and throughout ongoing product development.
• Move through sketching, wireframing, prototyping, and UI design with an emphasis on an iterative, collaborative design process.
• Take wireframes and concept designs through to finalised UI design to deliver beautiful, functional interfaces for new products.
• Help to embed and drive the visual language throughout our products.
• Ship smart and meaningful products which delight our customers and partners.

Who you are:

• You have a solid command of UX principles and methodologies.
• You have a solid command of UI design, with excellent attention to detail and an understanding of modern UI conventions and patterns.
• You are self-driven and self-managing in your commitment to transforming insight into smart design that solves customer problems.
• You have strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate decisions and gather feedback.
• You are open-minded, collaborative, with a bias to action. You love working in a fast-moving, agile work environment.

What you need:

• 3-6 years of design experience in a similar position.
• A folio of work demonstrating a strong track record of delivering end-to-end UX and UI design.
• The ability to deliver cross-platform design, including demonstrated experience designing for mobile with strong understanding of Apples Human Interface Guidelines and Googles Material Design Guidelines.
• The ability to translate UX design into highly-polished, detailed, and considered interface design.
• A master of modern interface and prototype tools, including Sketch and InVision.
• A track record of delivering outcomes on-time and on-budget within a fast-moving environment.
