Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Regional Area Manager to lead operations across our Rockhampton City territory and surrounding regions in Australia. This is a permanent position offering the opportunity to drive business growth, manage multi-site operations, and lead a high-performing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of regional performance, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering sustainable business results. • Oversee all operational and commercial activities across the assigned regional territory, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and strategic priorities • Develop and implement regional business strategies to drive revenue growth, market penetration, and competitive advantage.

 

   Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Excellence — Ensure every restaurant meets brand standards for food quality, speed, cleanliness, and guest experience.

  • Multi‑Site Leadership — Lead, coach, and develop Senior Operations Coaches and Restaurant Managers across the region.

  • Commercial Performance — Drive sales, labour efficiency, COGS control, and profitability; analyse performance data and implement improvement plans.

  • People Development — Build capability, hold teams accountable, and create succession pipelines.

  • Compliance & Safety — Ensure WHS, Food Safety, RSA, Awards/EAs, and visa compliance across all sites.

  • Customer Experience — Champion guest satisfaction, resolve escalations, and maintain brand reputation.

  • Strategic Execution — Translate state strategy into consistent operational execution across QLD.

  • Stakeholder Management — Collaborate with state leadership, franchisee, general manager, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.

  • Travel & Field Presence — Regular intrastate travel to Bundaberg, Rockhampton, Gladstone, Hervey Bay, Maryborough, and Brisbane.

  • Commercial Acumen — Strong understanding of P&L, labour models, inventory, and cost control.

  • Communication — Clear, consistent communication across all levels.

  • Problem Solving — Ability to diagnose operational issues and implement solutions.

  • Tech Literacy — Comfortable with systems such as Workday, Tanda, Crunchtime, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

**Required Skills & Experience:** • Minimum 3 years' experience in a regional or area management role within a corporate environment • Proven track record of managing P&L responsibility and delivering financial results • Strong people management and team leadership capabilities • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and business development

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with sound decision-making skills • Experience with performance management, KPI tracking, and data analysis • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and business management systems • Ability to travel within the regional territory as required

**Desirable Skills & Experience:** • Experience within a specific industry sector relevant to the role • Knowledge of the Australian market and regional business dynamics • Familiarity with CRM software or advanced business management platforms • Background in sales, operations, or business development • Experience managing geographically dispersed teams or multiple locations
