Job Description
· Perform maintenance duties and responsibilities.
· Read technical manuals to understand equipment and controls.
· Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
· Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring, and testing instruments.
· Provide emergency repairs of production equipment during production.
· Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
· Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and power tools.
· Controls downtimes by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques.
· Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
· Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications
· Previous experience with machine maintenance.
· Bachelors Degree or technical experience
· Ability to interpret and implement OSHA standards for the facility.
· Troubleshooting equipment and strong understanding of machine control logic.
· Attention to detail is critical.
· Workers should be able to reassemble large, complex machines after finishing a repair.
· Safety conscious at all times.
· Reliable transportation to and from work (must have a valid driver’s license).
· Ability to take and pass pre-employment drug screening test
Physical Demands
· Requires the ability to lift, push, pull and carry tools and warehouse materials weighing up to 65 pounds on a frequent basis.
· Requires prolonged standing or walking, frequent bending, stooping, and reaching daily.
· Requires the ability to climb ladders to pick or put away products.
· Requires a full range of physical motion to operate manual and electrically powered tools and machines (i.e., forklift)
