Grimco - a 150-year-old, $1.5 billion signage distributor - is looking for a sales professional to own and grow our Dallas location. You'll work with a customer base that has significant upside potential, selling mission-critical products (traffic signs, reflective sheeting, aluminum substrates) that many industries rely on to operate.

Job Description

Outside Sales & Territory Management · Build your Dallas territory by prospecting for new business and conducting face-to-face customer visits · Spend most of your time in the field identifying opportunities, meeting with customers, and closing deals · Conduct on-site needs assessments, product demonstrations, and consultative sales presentations · Develop new accounts while expanding business with existing customers in your territory · Drive personal vehicle to customer locations throughout the Dallas area (mileage reimbursement provided – valid driver's license and current vehicle registration required) · Travel for customer visits, trade shows, and training events (local/regional travel 15-30% of time)

Sales Goals & Performance · Achieve weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for volume, margin, and gross profit · Own the complete sales process from prospecting and qualification through close and account development · Build product expertise across Grimco's signage portfolio and stay current on industry trends · Use consultative selling to match customer requirements with technical product specifications and capabilities

Customer Communication & Sales Support · Proactively contact customers to identify needs, follow up on opportunities, and strengthen relationships (approximately 30 outbound calls per day) · Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, applications, and technical specifications (approximately 30 inbound calls per day) · Enter orders and track customer information in company systems (Order Power, CRM, Reporting Services) · Collaborate with team members to share prospecting strategies, market insights, and best practices

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS, ABILITIES & OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:

· 0-3 years of Sales or Customer Service experience.

· Knowledge of the Sales Cycle.

· Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

· Ability to take direction and make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment.

· Interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.

· Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas to respond to customers’ needs, wants, and concerns.

· Ability to demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and commitment to customers.

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT SALES ORIENTATION –SAINT LOUIS, MO:

· Opportunity to attend Grimco’s Training & Development Sales Orientation in Saint Louis, Missouri.

· Focused training time consisting of a mix of one-on-one training, virtual training, and shadowing.

· Training focuses on Grimco’s products, computer systems, phones/customers, sales/service, purchasing, logistics, web store, marketing, safety, accounting, human resources, and reports.

· Split between break-out sessions and hands-on learning environment.

· Rotation within departments for a diverse look at how employees approach tasks and achieve goals.

· Full-time salary includes training period. Travel accommodations and expenses provided per Grimco National Travel Policy. Training location determined by corporate/regional training team schedule.
