About the Opportunity
The Information & Privacy Officer is responsible for managing all right to information applications, administrative access applications and privacy complaints received by the University.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end processing of RTI, administrative access, and privacy complaints.
- Provide expert advice and support to staff on RTI, administrative access and privacy obligations.
- Conduct investigations and recommend findings to the Privacy Officer.
- Support the management and remediation of Personal Identifying Information
- Develop and maintain RTI, administrative access and privacy complaint resources for stakeholders.
- Deliver staff training and education on RTI, administrative access and privacy matters.
- Maintain accurate records to support compliance and reporting requirements.
- Monitor legislative changes and update related policies and procedures.
About you
- The occupant of this position will hold relevant undergraduate qualifications (preferably legal qualifications) with at least two (2) years-experience in a similar role or have an equivalent level of expertise obtained from a combination of experience, training, professional accreditation and qualification.
Candidates must have full unrestricted Australian work rights and may be subject to a National criminal history check.

This is a full time, continuing opportunity primarily based at Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site university, you may be required to work across other locations.
Griffith University’s sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary
HEW 7 – Base range - $104,504.60 - $113,219.43 + 17% superannuation. Ful package range - $122,270.38 - $132,466.72.
