Job Description

Join the Domestic Admissions and Scholarships team – a team that shapes futures. Play a vital role in supporting students on their journey to higher education. With a strong focus on equity, access, and excellence, the team manages admissions processes and scholarship opportunities that open doors for thousands of students each year.
Sitting within Student Engagement and Success, the Domestic Admissions & Scholarships team oversees the admission and scholarship policies and standards for Griffith University.

As an Admissions Officer, you will assess and process applications for admission for domestic students to undergraduate, postgraduate coursework, and non-award study.

  • Process and assess applications submitted directly to the university, and through the Tertiary Admissions Centres (QTAC and UAC).
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, and policies and procedures.
  • Interpret data and provide reports and statistical information.
  • Respond to admissions enquiries from current and future students through multiple channels, including advice on alternative pathways to Griffith.
  • Participate in student recruitment events, career fairs and other promotional events.

You will also have the ability to:

  • Exercise initiative, discretion, and judgement on complex and sensitive issues.
  • Respond to a high volume of admission tasks and client enquiries via multiple contact channels.
  • Use advanced computer systems, manipulating data in software packages including Office365 suite and databases.
  • Display strong attention to detail and highly developed interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Manage competing priorities through excellent time management skills.
  • Experience in a similar position in tertiary/higher education using  Student Management Systems and CRM will be highly regarded.

What we can offer
This is a continuing, part-time (27.19 hours per week) position primarily based either at the Griffith University Gold Coast or Brisbane South (Nathan) campus. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.

Griffith University’s sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

Salary range
Full time equivalent base salary range HEW level 5 $84,918 - $92,456 per annum, plus 17% superannuation. Actual salary will be pro rata at 75%.
