Job Description

Griffith University is seeking a dedicated and experienced General Dentist to join our team at the Warwick Dental Clinic.

This is a unique opportunity to combine clinical practice with teaching, delivering high-quality dental care while supporting the development of future dental professionals. Based at our Warwick facility, you will also play a key role in strengthening the clinic’s presence within the Warwick and Granite Belt communities.

The core focus of this role is the supervision of fifth-year undergraduate dental students undertaking comprehensive patient care across all disciplines, at the level of a General Dental Practitioner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality general dental care to patients
  • Supervise and support fifth-year undergraduate dental students in clinical settings
  • Develop treatment plans and cost estimates in collaboration with students and patients
  • Deliver patient care during non-teaching periods
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using the Titanium patient management system
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and clinic policies
  • Participate in clinical meetings, academic activities, and collaborative initiatives
  • Support patient screening and allocation for teaching purposes
  • Promote compliance with relevant legislation, University policies, and professional standards

About you
To be successful within this role, you will have:

  • A qualification that enables registration as a General Dental Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (Ahpra)
  • The ability to work independently as a clinician
  • Experience in teaching, supervision, or working with dental students in a clinical environment (highly regarded)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with academic staff and contribute to multidisciplinary activities

What We Can Offer
This is a fixed-term, full-time position until December 2026, with the possibility of extension, based at the Griffith University Warwick Dental Clinic. The successful candidate is expected to attend the location in person as a normal requirement of the role.

Salary range
An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
