Job Description

As the IT Director – Portfolio, Performance and Practice, you will play a key leadership role in shaping how Griffith plans, governs and delivers its digital investment portfolio.

Here’s how you’ll make it matter:

  • Lead the strategic oversight of Griffith’s digital investment portfolio, ensuring initiatives are prioritised and aligned with University strategy and organisational outcomes
  • Establish strong governance and performance frameworks that provide transparency, accountability and value from digital investments
  • Drive the adoption of lean and contemporary delivery practices that improve the way Digital Solutions plans, delivers and measures digital change
  • Partner with senior leaders across the University to shape demand, strengthen decision making and maximise the impact of technology initiatives
  • Oversee financial stewardship and portfolio performance, using data insights to optimise investment, resources and delivery outcomes.

You will also have:

  • Extensive leadership experience managing large-scale digital portfolios, programs or enterprise transformation initiatives
  • Demonstrated capability in strategic planning, governance frameworks and investment prioritisation within complex organisations
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including oversight of budgets, investment planning and performance reporting
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders to drive organisational change and strategic outcomes
  • Postgraduate qualifications in information technology, business, digital transformation or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.

What we can offer
This is a fixed term (12 month), full time position primarily based at Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.

Griffith University’s sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

Salary Range
This position will be offered on a Senior Contract with a competitive salary package negotiated with the successful candidate.
