Job Description
The School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences is home to world-class researchers and teachers dedicated to advancing human health through discovery and innovation. Our programs integrate biomedical, pharmaceutical, and clinical sciences to equip graduates with the skills to transform healthcare practice. The School is also leading the integration of digital health across all programs, driving innovation in health education and research.
As a Lecturer (Level B)- Biomedical Sciences, you will contribute to the School’s teaching excellence and research impact. Here’s how you’ll make it matter:
- Deliver high-quality teaching in biomedical sciences, with a focus on biochemistry across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
- Supervise honours and higher degree research (HDR) students, supporting outstanding learning outcomes.
- Develop and lead a research portfolio that demonstrates high-quality outputs and societal impact.
- Contribute to the School’s growing digital health initiatives across curricula.
- Foster innovation in teaching through technology-enhanced, authentic learning and assessment practices.
- Engage and collaborate with industry and community partners to develop work-integrated learning opportunities and enhance student employability.
This is a continuing, full time position and will be primarily based at Griffith University’s Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.
Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level B range $113,226 - $134,460 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $132,474 - $157,318 per annum.

You will also have:
- A doctoral qualification (PhD) in Biomedical Sciences or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and curriculum development, particularly in biochemistry.
- Evidence of an emerging or established research track record with high-quality publications.
- Commitment to integrating technology-enhanced and student-centred learning approaches.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster positive, collaborative relationships.
