Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as Commercial Research Support Officer to support the Consultancy and Commercial Research (CCR) activities in Griffith Enterprise. 

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Prepare, in conjunction with relevant GE staff, material in support of tender and proposal submissions to local, state and federal government departments as well as industry organisations.
  • Assist with the triage of project matters awaiting allocation, to assess requirements for legal and administrative review in accordance with university policy and procedures, and with guidance or instruction from relevant senior staff.
  • Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including academic project leaders, other University professional offices, and external clients and advisors to facilitate conclusion of project agreements.
  • Upload, update and maintain Griffith University systems as directed.
  • This position may be required to take on other responsibilities, commensurate with the expectations of a role at this level, which contribute to the overall objectives of the work unit.

About you
The successful candidate will have a degree in a relevant field (e.g. Research Administration, law) and/or experience in an academic research setting.

You will also have:

What we can offer
This is a casual (until end 2025) position primarily based at Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations. Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

Salary Range
Casual rates for a HEW Level 5 will apply which is currently $52 - $59 per hour.
