Job Description
The Senior Manager Industry Growth will strategise, attract, and retain industry to be physically located in the GCHKP. This includes engaging with multinational companies, SMEs and start-ups and building a value proposition from capabilities and programs throughout the GCHKP. This role involves collaborating with government, health services, universities, private developers, and industry to identify and secure companies that align with GCHKP’s strategic priorities. The position requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the health and technology sectors and leveraging networks to capture growth opportunities.
As Senior Manager Industry Growth you will be responsible for:
- Leading industry attraction initiatives and support the development and implementation of the Precinct’s Five-Year Strategic Plan.
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating the GCHKP’s Investment Attraction Strategy, targeting health and technology companies to locate in the precinct.
- Cultivating strong engagements with Precinct partners and industry stakeholders locally, nationally, and internationally.
- Promoting the GCHKP through proactive engagement with government trade organisations and representation at high-level conferences and events.
- Developing business cases and value propositions for industry attraction opportunities in collaboration with Precinct Partners and stakeholders.
About you
The ideal candidate will hold relevant postgraduate qualifications in project management, business development, or investment attraction, coupled with significant experience. Alternatively, a combination of relevant training, skills, and experience in the health and/or technology industry will be considered.
You will also have:
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing strategic plans and leading industry attraction initiatives.
- Proven ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies and industry partners.
- In-depth understanding of industry trends, particularly in health and technology sectors, and the ability to conduct thorough research and analysis.
- Experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies and promoting precincts at high-level conferences and events.
- Familiarity with governance structures, and strong reporting and presentation skills to communicate progress and outcomes to advisory groups and stakeholders.
- Established networks within the Biomedical industry is highly desirable.

This is a continuing contingent funded, full time position and will be primarily based at the Griffith University Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.
Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 10 $138,753 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be $162,341 per annum.
