Job Description
The School of Health Sciences and Social Work are seeking to appoint an outstanding Academic Speech Pathologist to lead their dynamic Speech Pathology Discipline. As the Academic Lead and Associate Professor you will be expected to mentor and lead the team in conducting high quality research, delivering efficient and high quality teaching, and providing service to the speech pathology profession and the broader community. You will be responsible for ensuring that the program maintains accreditation with the relevant professional body and for representing the University on high level bodies.
This is a continuing, full time position and will be primarily based at the Griffith University Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.
Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level DAP range $159,740 - $175,985 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $186,895 - $205,902 per annum.
About you
You are a passionate and successful Speech Pathology academic with Certified Practising Speech Pathology status (or eligibility for that certification). You will have an strong track record in fundable research, publishing in high quality journals with successful supervision of higher degree research students to timely completion.
You will also have significant experience in developing quality speech pathology curricula and in leading a team to excellence in learning and teaching delivery. You will be ready to make a strong contribution to the School, University, and wider community through experience in governance and professional service.
