Griffith University is searching for a Professor (Level E) in Health Economics to be jointly appointed to the Health Group and the Griffith Business School. In the Health Group, the Centre for Applied Health Economics undertakes economic research to deliver safe, effective and efficient health care solutions that are responsive to consumer preferences and improve quality of life. The Griffith Business School strives to deliver world class business education and prepare the next generation of responsible business leaders and is home to several world-class research facilities. Job Description
About the Opportunity
This leadership role will focus on leading and developing research collaboration across the Health and Business Groups in the field of Health Economics. A key priority is to secure funding and collaboration with the health care industry, clinical, and policy partners and mentoring early career researchers across the Health Group and the Griffith Business School. Key responsibilities are listed in the Position Description.
This is full time continuing position based at the Nathan or Gold Coast campuses. As Griffith is a multi-campus University, there may be a requirement for you to work across other campus locations.
About You
To be successful within this role, you will be able to demonstrate excellence and leadership in the areas of research, teaching service and engagement. You will have an outstanding reputation in Health Economics research that has had influence and impact on health policy and decision making. You will have a strong track record of publication, and evidence of teaching and research higher degree supervision excellence. You will have a strong record of securing funding and collaborating with the health care industry, clinical or policy partners and a track record of global collaboration. You will have evidence of developing and leading multidisciplinary research teams to achieve outstanding research with an impact on health policy and practice.
Salary Range
The base salary for Professor Level E appointment is $190,262 per annum, plus 17% employer superannuation. The total FTE package will be $222,606 per annum.
