As an Assistant Manager, you will be a key member of the leadership team, supporting the General Manager with the day to day running of the business.

You will help lead a large and energetic team, ensuring high operational standards, excellent customer service and strong business performance across food, drink and events.

This role would suit an experienced Duty Manager, Assistant Manager or Pub Manager looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager with the day to day operation of the business.
• Lead shifts and ensure high standards of service across food, drink and events.
• Inspire, coach and develop team members to perform at their best.
• Deliver memorable guest experiences and encourage repeat custom.
• Identify and drive sales opportunities to support business performance.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, compliance, cleanliness and health and safety.
• Act as a positive role model for company values, culture and customer service.
• Take responsibility for the business and team in the General Manager’s absence.
• Help create a positive, motivating and inclusive working environment

Essential / Desired Skills

• Previous experience in a hospitality leadership or supervisory role, ideally within pubs, bars or a high-volume hospitality environment.
• Strong people management, coaching and team development skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and a genuine passion for creating outstanding guest experiences.
• Confident leadership style with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Good commercial awareness and an understanding of sales and business performance.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
• Ability to remain calm, organised and focused in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to take ownership and make decisions when required.
• A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within the hospitality industry.
