Veterinary Associate - Greencross Box Hill
- Part-time
Company Description
Join a clinic where great medicine, great people, and great snacks go hand in hand.
Greencross Vets Box Hill is a well-established small animal practice in Melbourne's eastern suburbs. Co-located with Petbarn, our clinic is equipped with modern diagnostic, medical and surgical equipment, including dental radiography, digital imaging and upgraded patient monitoring systems.
We're a close-knit, supportive team of experienced veterinarians, nurses, nursing interns and veterinary students. Learning is part of our everyday culture, and we enjoy mentoring the next generation of veterinary professionals. Led by Veterinary Director Ying and Practice Manager Janelle, who progressed from nursing intern to Practice Manager within Greencross, we've created a workplace where people genuinely enjoy coming to work. We work hard, support one another and don't take ourselves too seriously. There is always food to share, plenty of laughs and a team ready to help when things get busy.
Wellbeing isn't just something we talk about, it's something we actively prioritise. Our Head Nurse is a qualified Mental Health First Aider, and we've built a culture where people feel comfortable asking questions, seeking support and learning from mistakes. We work hard, but we also enjoy what we do. There's plenty of laughter, a constant supply of snacks, and a team that rallies around each other when challenges arise. It's a big reason why many of our locum and casual veterinarians keep coming back. They often describe their shifts at Box Hill as a refreshing change of pace, where they're supported by experienced colleagues, encouraged to be themselves, and reminded why they enjoy working in veterinary medicine in the first place.
