Located in Sinnamon Park in Brisbane’s west, our purpose-built, state-of-the-art hospital has been helping patients and shaping veterinary careers for over 9 years. 

Commencing in January 2027 you will complete a 12-month surgical internship with the option to extend this to 18 months. 

In this role you will benefit from access to: 

  • Specialists in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Medical & Surgical Oncology, Critical Care, Anaesthesia and Diagnostic Imaging 

  • After-hours Emergency Service 

  • 3 Operating Theatres, Digital Radiography, CT & MRI Scanners, Arthroscopy, Fluoroscopy, Endoscopy and an In-house Diagnostic Laboratory 

About you:  

This role will you suit if you are a motivated, professional and enthusiastic veterinarian who is eligible for QLD veterinary registration. You should have strong communication skills, a solid surgical knowledge base, and a great work ethic.

About the Internship  

You’ll work side-by-side with our Small Animal Surgery Specialists and experienced nursing team, while collaborating with experts across other disciplines. 

This is a hands-on role where you’ll: 

  • Assist in consultations, surgical procedures, patient care and client communication 
  • Participate in daily hospital rounds and weekly journal clubs/case presentations 
  • Gain exposure to a wide range of surgical cases, from routine to complex 
  • If eligible, be encouraged (and supported) to work towards ANZCVS Small Animal Surgery Membership
