Greencross Vets Paradise is looking for a passionate and dedicated Veterinary Nurse to join our growing team on a part-time basis (approximately 20 hours per week), with opportunities for additional hours in the future as the clinic continues to grow or when extra team support is required.

About the Role

This is a part-time position of approximately 20 hours per week, with the opportunity to work additional hours in the future as the clinic grows or during periods when the team requires additional support.

You'll enjoy a varied role encompassing both clinical nursing and client care responsibilities.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Medical and surgical nursing
• Anaesthetic monitoring and patient recovery
• Consult nursing and client education
• Emergency and critical care nursing
• Diagnostic testing and pathology
• Caring for hospitalised patients
• Performing minor procedures when required
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control
• Reception duties including answering phones, booking appointments, admitting and discharging patients, and managing client enquiries
• Delivering exceptional customer service and patient care

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
• Has 2+ years of clinical veterinary nursing experience
• Demonstrates excellent animal handling skills
• Has strong knowledge of veterinary nursing procedures and patient care
• Is calm, friendly, and compassionate
• Has excellent communication and customer service skills
• Is organised and able to manage competing priorities
• Works well both independently and as part of a team
• Is flexible, adaptable, and eager to continue developing their skills
• Has experience with RxWorks (desirable but not essential)

Most importantly, you're someone who enjoys building relationships with clients, advocates for patient wellbeing, and thrives in a collaborative team environment.
