We are preparing to reopen our purpose-built clinic on the banks of the Ross River, and we are looking for an experienced veterinarian who wants to shape its next chapter.

You may already be a Veterinary Director looking for a fresh opportunity, or a senior veterinarian ready to take your first step into leadership with the right support around you.

Either way, this is your opportunity to establish the clinical direction, help create the team culture and build a clinic that reflects the way you believe veterinary medicine should be delivered.

The foundations are already here

The clinic, facilities and equipment are ready. What we are building now is the team.

Riverway includes dedicated consulting and treatment spaces, along with specialised facilities for radioactive iodine treatment. You will also have the backing of our wider Townsville network, an experienced Area Manager and a Regional Clinical Director who will support you clinically and as a leader.

During the lead-up to Riverway’s reopening, you will work across our Townsville clinics, build relationships within the local network and play an active part in shaping the clinic’s team, culture and direction.

If there is a veterinary nurse, Practice Manager or fellow veterinarian you have worked brilliantly with before, this could be an opportunity to explore the next chapter together.

You are equally welcome to express interest individually. We will work with you to build a capable, supportive team around the clinic’s shared vision.

What you will have the opportunity to shape

As Riverway’s clinical leader, you will be able to:

• Establish the clinic’s clinical standards and direction
• Help recruit and develop a collaborative veterinary and nursing team
• Create a calm, supportive environment where people can do their best work
• Mentor veterinarians and nurses as the clinic grows
• Develop areas of clinical interest, including radioactive iodine treatment
• Build strong relationships with clients and the wider Townsville community
• Collaborate with Veterinary Directors and clinical leaders across our local network
