About Us

VRH is a multi-disciplinary speciality referral hospital and 24/7 emergency centre in Melbourne’s south-east.  We pride ourselves on being a patient-focused practice and delivering treatment that has the best interest of the patient and client in mind. We also believe in a team approach to patient care, recognising that optimum patient care centres of collaboration between our specialty departments.

Our medicine department consists of five specialists, all board-certified, with decades of experience including training and knowledge from around the world. We are supported by a team of experienced and skilled nurses. We all relish the opportunity to mentor the next generation of medicine-focused clinicians.

Our hospital is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility. We work closely with our other specialty departments including surgery, neurology, diagnostic imaging, anaesthesia, and emergency and critical care (with oncology joining late 2026). We have access to a full suite of endoscopy equipment with dedicated procedure space and capability for performing interventional procedures. Our advanced imaging needs are supported by qualified radiographers with access to fluoroscopy, 16-slice CT, and 1.5T MRI. Patient care is enhanced by our 24-hour intensive care unit.
