Job Description

About the Team

GrabMart is Grab's on-demand daily essentials and grocery delivery service. We deliver products from local stores and our own network to customers' doorsteps—supporting millions of consumers across Southeast Asia with unmatched speed, convenience, and reliability.

About the Role

As the Supply Chain Strategy & Planning Lead, you will be the analytical engine behind the long-term efficiency and growth of our logistics network. You will connect raw data to executive decision-making, with ownership of the design and financial sustainability of our logistics network and consumer-facing shipping programs. You'll work closely with Finance on FP&A to translate supply chain strategy into budgets, forecasts, and P&L impact, ensuring our plans remain financially durable while supporting business growth.

What You'll Do

1) Supply-chain-related FP&A Ownership (Budgeting, Forecasting, Variance)

Partner with Finance to own supply-chain-related FP&A rhythms, including:

  • building and updating annual/quarterly budgets and forecasts for logistics cost and shipping subsidy exposure
  • developing scenario-based forecast models for network changes and shipping program strategies
  • conducting variance analysis (actual vs. plan/forecast) and driving corrective actions with stakeholders

2) Strategic Growth Support (Business Cases)

Support regional leadership with data-backed business cases for:

  • new market entry
  • product category expansion
  • infrastructure investments (network nodes, distribution capabilities, etc.)

3) Network Design (Strategy & Planning)

  • Lead strategic planning for the first-party (1P) network, including the geographic placement of dark stores and distribution centers to maximize coverage while minimizing fulfillment costs.
  • Evaluate and recommend changes to our logistics network layout (e.g., hub-and-spoke vs. point-to-point) based on shifting consumer density and operational constraints.

4) Fee Structure Design (Pricing, Unit Economics & P&L)

Perform rigorous cost-benefit analyses to design and continuously refine free shipping thresholds and program structures, balancing:

  • customer conversion and engagement
  • contribution margin, cost-to-serve, and overall P&L health

5) Core Metrics, Data Collaboration & Monitoring

Partner closely with Data Science and Engineering teams to:

  • define core supply chain metrics
  • ensure data integrity and consistent definitions
  • build automated dashboards for real-time strategic monitoring (including finance-linked metrics such as subsidy ROI)

Qualifications

What You'll Need

  • 4 years of experience in supply chain strategy, FP&A, management consulting, or business analytics (e-commerce or logistics preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, plus visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Proven ability to turn complex datasets into actionable strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in network modeling, financial modeling, or incentive/subsidy structure design
  • Experience working with Finance on budgeting/forecasting, P&L drivers, and variance analysis
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a first-principles approach to ambiguous operational challenges
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
