Get to Know the Team
The Credit Ops team manages daily credit underwriting operations and safeguards underwriting SLAs across the country. Get to Know the Role
You will manage end-to-end credit underwriting for loans using external credit bureau data and supporting documents where required. You will help ensure underwriting SLA delivery to support sound decision-making and operational continuity. You will also deliver audit-ready regulatory-to-control mapping and maintain traceable evidence packages against agreed milestones. You will also implement existing credit SOP and policy requirements, implement updates linked to audit controls, and ensure clear ownership and risk mitigation. You will drive continuous improvement in key risk metrics and provides fact-based, data-driven reporting to senior and executive management. You will report to the Head, Credit Ops & Collection, working onsite at the Jakarta office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Lead end-to-end underwriting operations and SLA management for loans in Indonesia.
- Design data and analysis approaches to solve business problems while maintaining an acceptable level of risk.
- Manage the lending portfolio, including recommending actions to address performance or risk issues.
- Collaborate with business, engineering, compliance, collections, legal, finance, and regional teams to support credit operations.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- A recognized degree, in Business, Finance, Operations Management, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of full-time experience supporting SME loans and broader consumer lending underwriting or credit operations.
- Experience reviewing and interpreting external credit bureau data and using supporting documentation to support loan decisions.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and driving accountability for execution and approvals.
- Experience delivering tangible results across previous roles.
- Experience creating and updating SOPs and policies aligned with control requirements, such as audit or regulatory controls.
- The ability to make decisions or provide sound recommendations grounded in data and analytical thinking.
- The ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across functions, including business, engineering, compliance, collections, legal, finance, and regional teams.
- The ability to create effective PowerPoint presentations.
- A good command of written and spoken English.
- A solid understanding of the local financial regulatory environment, compliance requirements, and customer due diligence processes.
- Ability to work comfortably in variative and in a VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous) environment.
- We prefer prior experience in consulting, problem-solving, or strategy design.
- We prefer prior experience in a start-up and/or financial services environment.
