Job Description
Get to Know the Role:
You'll lead the creation and nurturing of partnerships to drive growth and profitability. Your responsibilities include managing the full partner development cycle, from identifying opportunities to executing deals, across various business lines like Transport, GrabFood, Omnicommerce, GrabExpress, GrabMart, and GrabFinancial. You'll regularly engage with corporate partners, influencing decisions, while collaborating with internal teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
You will report to the Manager of BD & Strategic Partnerships, onsite at our Grab One North office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Partner acquisition and experimentation: Source, qualify, and close new partner leads that increase partner funding and/or validate new partnership concepts.
- End-to-end partner management: Own the full lifecycle of commercial partnerships, from qualifying prospects through negotiation, contracting, activation, partnership execution, and measuring the impact of partnerships.
- Business Case Development: Build partnership proposals and business cases, structuring basic commercial terms, activation ideas, and calculating projected business impact.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with the business verticals, marketing, product, legal, and operations teams in order to align on commercial and operational expectations and deliver on agreed outcomes.
- Event sponsorship management: Own the full sponsorship lifecycle for events from negotiation through stakeholder management, project management, execution, and ROI tracking and optimisation.
- Performance tracking and campaign optimisation: Define and align on success metrics, set up tracking for partner initiatives, co-develop iterative strategies, present learnings to internal stakeholders and partners, and document playbooks for scaling successful tactics.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- Education & experience: University degree with 3–5+ years in business development, sponsorship sales, partnerships or client‑facing commercial roles.
- Proven track record: Proven track record of closing partnerships or sponsorship deals
- Hunting & negotiation: Strong hunting, negotiation and contract management experience.
- Project ownership: Comfortable running projects end‑to‑end and coordinating cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Data & analytics: Able to drive executable insights and learnings from raw data and basic dashboarding / BI tools.
