Get to Know the Role

The Supply Chain In-Stock Assistant Manager for the Fresh category is a critical role within the GrabMart 1P business. You will be responsible for ensuring high product availability (in-stock rates) for our fresh produce, meats, dairy and frozen categories while balancing inventory health and minimizing waste. This role requires a data-driven individual who can manage the complexities of perishable supply chains and fast-moving consumer goods.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

1. In-Stock Management & Availability

  • Monitor daily in-stock rates for the Fresh category across all fulfillment nodes (dark stores and central warehouses) and implement recovery plans for stock-outs.
  • Collaborate with the Merchandising and Sourcing teams to ensure timely purchase order (PO) placement and fulfillment by vendors.
  • Manage safety stock levels and reorder points specifically tailored to the short shelf-life nature of fresh products.

2. Waste & Shrinkage Control

  • Develop and execute strategies to minimize obsolescence and waste (shrinkage) in the fresh category, which is vital for maintaining profitability.
  • Analyze aging inventory and coordinate with the Marketing and Commercial teams to drive liquidation or promotional activities for near-expiry items.
  • Implement best practices for cold chain management and handling to preserve product quality and extend shelf life.

3. Inventory Planning & Operations

  • Translate demand forecasts into actionable supply plans for fresh categories, accounting for seasonality and promotional peaks.
  • Conduct regular inventory health checks and audits at dark stores to ensure physical stock aligns with system data.
  • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks in the inbound process (receiving) for fresh goods.

4. Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for fresh category vendors regarding delivery performance and fill rates.
  • Work closely with the Indonesia supply chain team, darkstore and warehouse operations team, category management team and suppliers.
  • Provide regular reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Availability (AVB), DOI (Days of Inventory), Ageing Inventory Days, Fill Rate, and Waste.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimally 3-5 years of experience in In-Stock Management, Inventory Planning, or Supply Chain, specifically within the Fresh/Grocery, eCommerce or FMCG sectors.
  • Strong understanding of the nuances of perishable goods management (shelf-life management, waste vs. availability balancing).
  • Proficiency in Advanced Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or advanced planning software.
  • Analytical with strong ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
  • Fluency in English.
