The CAMATECH Martech Analytics team is part of Country & Marketing Analytics, partnering with Marketing, Growth, Country Business, Product, Engineering and other Data teams to define key metrics and deliver data-driven solutions for fast-evolving market needs. We focus on scaling Marketing AI (Comms Compass) and MarTech capabilities—across content generation, insights & reporting, content tagging, country pilots and self-serve access—so marketers can run smarter communications at scale. As a Data Scientist Intern in CAMATECH, you will contribute to analytical frameworks, dashboards and models that power Grab's marketing stack and make our AI-driven tools more useful for teams on the ground.

Get to Know the Role

We are looking for a Data Analytics Intern to support marketing technology and AI-driven initiatives across analytics, reporting, and insight generation. In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams to analyze campaign performance, build automated reporting solutions, track adoption of new tools, and generate insights that improve marketing effectiveness and overall user engagement.

You will be onsite in our Petaling Jaya office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Support recurring and ad-hoc analysis for marketing initiatives
  • Build and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reporting pipelines
  • Analyze campaign performance, user behavior, and content effectiveness to uncover opportunities for improvement
  • Track adoption and usage of new tools and workflows, and identify ways to improve engagement
  • Support experimentation and evaluation of AI-enabled use-cases in marketing and communications
  • Translate business questions into data-driven insights and recommendations
  • Document metrics, reporting logic, and analytical frameworks to support scalable self-serve reporting

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • You will need to start the internship in August 2026 with a minimum duration of 3 months.
  • Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field
  • Proficient in SQL and spreadsheet skills; Python or R is a plus
  • Experience with dashboards and data visualization tools
  • Interest in marketing analytics, experimentation, and product performance
  • Familiarity with AI / machine learning concepts, such as prompt/context engineering, model evaluation, agentic AI etc.
  • Curious about how AI can be applied responsibly to improve business decisions and user experiences
