Job Description

Get to Know the Team

The Autonomous Vehicle Integration & Deployment (AVID) team is Grab's newly established unit building the autonomous vehicle and robotaxi business globally. We sit at the intersection of cutting-edge AV technology, complex multi-partner ecosystems, and one of the world's most dynamic mobility markets. The programs we run are high-stakes, cross-functional, and operate on a regional scale — often in territory no one has mapped before.

Get to Know the Role

Join AVID at an early stage where you'll build genuinely new programs that directly shape the business, working at the frontier of autonomous vehicle deployment in one of the world's most complex and exciting mobility markets; you'll have direct visibility with Grab senior leadership and leading external technology partners, and be part of a small, high‑performing team where ownership is real, contributions are visible, and career progression is rapid.

This role reports to Head of Strategy, PMO & Expansion for AV, based onsite at our Office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Cross-functional program ownership: Lead and deliver complex, high-stakes programs end-to-end across AVID's core functions — AV partner integration, commercial deployment, regulatory engagement, and operations launch. Own the full execution lifecycle: scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and resolution of misalignments.
  • Thought partner to biz leaders: Serve as a deep-dive expert for market-level and functional teams, solving ambiguous problems that require both high-level strategic perspective and rigorous operational feasibility analysis. You are the person leaders turn to when something is messy and important.
  • Strategic planning and performance management: Own the build and tracking of scorecards and OKRs, ensuring that AVID program performance is visible, measurable, and aligned with financial and operational targets. Define what success looks like — and make sure everyone can see whether we're hitting it.
  • Set-up and conduct 'Strategic Rhythm' — including MBRs, QBRs, and partner governance forums. Facilitate these sessions with rigour, ensure they drive decisions and accountability rather than just updates, and own the execution.
  • Stakeholder alignment and escalation management: Keep senior stakeholders across Grab informed and aligned. Represent programs to leadership, surface blockers early, and partner with executives to resolve organisational or commercial impediments. Act as the connective tissue across engineering, operations, commercial, legal, and policy teams.
  • Build the program management frameworks and operational structures that don't yet exist. As AVID grows, the systems and rhythms you design will define how the team operates at scale. Process design and scaling:

  • Strategy & performance management: Define KPIs/OKRs, build scorecards and track program performance against financial and operational targets.
  • Governance cadence: Establish and run MBRs/QBRs and partner governance forums that drive decisions, accountability and disciplined follow‑through.
  • Stakeholder alignment & escalation: Represent programs to senior leadership, surface blockers early, and coordinate cross‑functional resolution across engineering, operations, commercial, legal and policy.
  • Build scalable frameworks: Design the program management processes, systems and operational rhythms that enable AVID to scale from zero‑to‑one.
  • Relevant domain & operating experience: Experience or strong interest in AV/mobility, startup/zero‑to‑one environments, familiarity with transport regulation (especially SEA), and hands‑on use of AI productivity tools.
