At GrabFin, we empower the people of Southeast Asia by ensuring financial inclusion for the underserved. The Insurance Operations PST in Malaysia supports Insurance Products and owns Accounting, Reports, Internal Tools, and Third-Party Integration domains.

Get to Know the Role

You will report to the Engineering Manager, Insurance Operations, based in Malaysia and develop internal tools, reporting dashboards, and operational applications. You will work across the stack, building both frontend and backend components. We're looking for candidates that embody ownership, display a hunger for learning and improvement, and excel in autonomy.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Develop high-quality and scalable backend services within a microservices architecture
• Design, develop, and maintain user-friendly frontend web applications using React
• Build internal tools and reporting dashboards for Insurance Operations team
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
• Collaborate with diverse teams to design and ship new features
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical direction
• Participate in On-Call rotations to ensure service reliability

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• 4+ years of relevant experience in software development
• Proficiency in building frontend web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React
• Proficiency in backend programming languages (Java/Go or Node.js)
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and Git
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS)
• Experience with clean architecture principles and SOLID principles
