Get to know the Role

Reporting to Manager, GTS Partnership. You will serve as a strategic liaison between the Finance department, the Business Finance Systems team, and the broader IT organisation. You will drive technological innovation, managing demand, and facilitating the creation and execution of new IT projects that align with the Finance department's strategic goals. You are collaborative, have a understanding of finance operations, business finance systems and workflows, and project management methodologies.This will be an individual contributor role.

This is a hybrid role and the office is based in Singapore.

 

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

Strategic Partnership:

  • Develop an understanding of the Finance department's business processes, challenges, and strategic goals.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders in Finance, Business Finance Systems, GTS, and other relevant departments.
  • Be a trusted advisor to Finance leadership on technology-related matters and strategy.
  • Identify areas where technology can optimise Finance operations and collaborate with System Owners and Enterprise Architecture to bridge any gaps and implement solutions.
  • Work with relevant leaders on benefit realisation post-implementation of IT related programs/ projects

Demand Management:

  • Capture and prioritise IT demand from the Finance department and IT Business Finance Systems team.
  • Analyse, document and assess the requirements, feasibility and impact of proposed IT solutions, ensuring alignment of IT initiatives with overall business strategy.
  • Develop business cases and justifications for new IT investments.
  • Partner with the business, project delivery team, procurement and Enterprise Architect to shape the requirements, propose and evaluate vendor solutions and execute the RFP process.
  • Identify and capture synergies and dependencies across new and ongoing initiatives within the Finance technology portfolio, ensuring impacted business and IT teams are aware and aligned.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices relevant to finance and IT.
  • Evaluate potential technology solutions to address business needs and opportunities.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within Finance and IT.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Effectively communicate the finance landscape, new technology requirements to system owners as well as non-technical audiences.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between Finance, IT, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and reports to various levels of management.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

 

  • At least 8 years professional experience in IT Business Partnership or Finance Technology Lead roles.
  • Experience with Core Finance processes: Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Reporting and Analysis etc.
  • Experience working with IT Business Finance Systems, including ERP systems and other financial applications.
  • Track record planning, strategising and supporting Finance and/or Procurement technology related needs and roadmaps that integrate business demand and IT capabilities/supply.
  • Experience engaging with senior level management, business owners and executives.
  • Expert in bringing people with opposing views together, and steering debates towards pragmatic solutions and a win-win outcome at the most senior levels of the organisation.
  • Team player and ability to work closely with the program/project team to find appropriate solutions, and proactively set up action plans to anticipate complex problems.
