Job Description

Get to know our Team:

  • The Business Development team is responsible for building Grab verticals through various initiatives.
  • The team is working closely with stakeholders across all verticals to bring success and add values for the business.
  • Our team is heavily interacting and build relationships with the external stakeholders to drive business opportunities & collaborations.

 

Get to know the role 

  • You will be a key part of the Business Development & Partnership team. Your work primarily involves leading merchant acquisition for GrabPay & PayLater by Grab, and driving payment partnership functions across Malaysia.
  • You will report to Manager, Strategic Partnership and hybrid based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor

 

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • You will achieve sales KPIs, strategically acquire merchants, manage sales channels and execute projects to drive long-term business growth.
  • You will manage the onboarding process for new merchants, ensuring a smooth transition onto the GrabPay/ PayLater by Grab platform. This includes coordinating with the Merchant Operations team, Risk & Compliance team, and addressing any issues or concerns.
  • You will identify new opportunities and market insights, and engage directly with partners to foster strong relationships.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Account Management and Marketing team, to improve post-sales engagement with new merchants.
  • You will familiarize with payment integrations (offline and online payment) to increase end-to-end sales funnel conversion from commercial negotiations to post-launch support.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • You have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • You have at least 4+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development & Partnership with an understanding of the payment/ fintech market landscape and competitive environment.
  • You are great at working with clients, growing a business, and communicating. Plus, you have a lot of professional connections.
