About the role
Our Corporate Advisory team brings sharp legal insight and strategic thinking to the country’s most complex and high-value transactions. We advise on public and private M&A, equity capital markets, joint ventures, and corporate governance.
We're now seeking an experienced public M&A lawyer to join our Sydney team.
You’ll work on landmark transactions with leading partners including:
Recent Deals
- Sigma Healthcare on its proposed $35 billion reverse takeover and ASX listing of Chemist Warehouse.
- On the $39 billion acquisition of Afterpay by Square, Inc (now Block), the largest cross border fintech deal globally and the largest M&A deal in Australian history to date.
- Wesfarmers on its proposed $770 million sale of its Coregas business to Nippon Sanso Holdings Corporation.
- Vocus on its proposed $5.25 billion acquisition of TPG’s enterprise, government and wholesale fixed business.
- Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking on its $2.1 billion acquisition of Link Group by scheme of arrangement.
What you bring
- 5–8 years' experience in corporate law, including significant exposure to public M&A
- Ambition to work on challenging matters at the top of the market.
- Top-tier drafting, analytical and client advisory skills
- Strong technical and analytical skills with a practical and commercial mindset.
- A team-first approach and a commitment to delivering outstanding client outcome
