Job Description
The Quality Control Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring the maintenance and accuracy of quality assurance and quality control records within an organization. This position involves providing general clerical support, including record keeping, filing, data entry, scheduling, and various administrative tasks as required. The Quality Control Clerk reports to the Lead QA/QC and is responsible for coordinating and executing QC clerical activities. Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), good communication skills, E&I inspection skills, customer focus, and proficiency in MS Office are essential for success in this role. The ability to work in a multitasking environment is also required.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, update, and maintain quality project documents, including registering and inputting progress information into the Document Management System (DMS).
- Receive, verify, record, and distribute project technical drawings and documentation efficiently and promptly using the DMS.
- Maintain and update a comprehensive list of drawings, ensuring that all relevant departments have access to the latest approved versions.
- Prepare and update daily activity logs to track project progress.
- Generate exception reports to highlight late documentation for management review.
- Establish and maintain an electronic library system for managing technical documentation, process class certification, and planning maintenance systems.
- Coordinate with the Lead QA/QC to perform all QC clerical activities and provide weekly and monthly reports.
- Assist in the endorsement of quality documents, such as Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and method statements (MS), with the guidance of the line manager.
- Ensure compliance of quality documents with ISO 9001 standard requirements.
- Raise Requests for Inspection (RFI) to the client for quality inspections on project activities, if necessary.
- Report non-conformities of products and services to the quality manager.
- Monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive measures on products and services to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
- Prepare final construction dossiers for projects and maintain records in the database folder.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree (B. Tech in Engineer) or a related field.
