Job Description
The Opportunity
We are seeking a commercially driven and strategically minded CFO with hands on mentality to lead the financial agenda of a globally operating Business Unit within a listed industrial group.
Partnering closely with the Business Unit CEO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping strategy, driving performance, and delivering sustainable value creation in a complex, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Value Creation
- Act as trusted advisor and sparring partner to the BU CEO on all financial and strategic matters
- Define and execute the financial strategy aligned with overall business objectives and shareholder expectations
- Lead strategic initiatives including portfolio optimization, investments, and growth programs
- Full ownership of M&A activities, from evaluation and execution to integration/separation
Performance & Financial Steering
- Drive transparency and performance management through robust KPI frameworks and business reviews
- Identify and deliver margin improvement, cost efficiency, and cash optimization initiatives
- Ensure disciplined capital allocation and value-based decision-making
Financial Planning & Governance
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and mid-term planning processes
- Ensure high-quality reporting to Group and senior stakeholders
- Maintain strong governance, compliance, and internal control standards
Capital, Liquidity & External Interface
- Manage liquidity, cash flow, and capital structure within Group guidelines
- Engage with banks, investors, and financing partners to secure funding and optimize financial flexibility
Organization & Leadership
- Lead, develop, and transform an international finance organization
- Foster a high-performance culture and strong cross-functional collaboration
- Act as key interface to Group Finance, Executive Management, and external stakeholders
Qualifications
Candidate Profile
- University degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience in an international industrial or manufacturing environment
- Proven track record in strategic finance, business partnering, and transformation
- Strong M&A experience and capital markets exposure is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to operate in complex, matrix organizations
