Job Description
Keep purchasing operations running smoothly by managing indirect spend end-to-end, from requisitions to supplier setup, while ensuring compliance and on-time delivery. Drive value by analyzing markets and suppliers, supporting global procurement strategy, and actively contributing to cost savings and supplier performance improvement.
- Ensure process-compliant purchasing operations for indirect materials, MRO, and services
- Independently create and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders in SAP (SAP MM and SAP Ariba), including adherence to approval workflows
- Execute supplier onboarding and maintain accurate supplier master data, including required documentation
- Track delivery dates, follow up with suppliers, and resolve day-to-day supply and service issues
- Monitor supplier performance and support basic improvement actions where needed
- Analyze demand and support sourcing decisions within defined supplier frameworks
- Coordinate closely with Global Procurement and support the implementation of category guidelines
- Identify and support cost-saving opportunities within daily operations
- Assist in supplier evaluations and related follow-up actions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and finance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in indirect/MRO purchasing
- Hands-on experience with SAP MM; SAP Ariba is a plus
- Solid understanding of purchasing processes, approval workflows, and compliance requirements
- Ability to independently manage purchase requisitions, orders, and supplier communication
- Experience tracking deliveries and resolving day-to-day supplier issues
- Comfortable handling low-value negotiations and routine commercial decisions
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, structured working style with a high level of ownership and integrity
