Job Description
Location: Peachtree City, GA
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. | On-call for weekend emergencies
Gerresheimer is seeking a talented Process Engineer Assembly to join our Process Optimization team. In this role, you'll focus on optimizing assembly processes, reducing cycle times, and improving product quality. You'll lead root cause analysis (RCA), implement continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to lean manufacturing efforts and support the pharmaceutical manufacturing process in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Optimizing assembly processes to improve efficiency and reduce defects
Leading RCA to identify process inefficiencies and implement corrective actions
Supporting change management processes and writing change controls
Using Power BI, Minitab, and statistical tools to perform data analysis and track key metrics (SPC, KPIs)
Applying lean principles such as 5S and waste elimination to streamline operations
Collaborating with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve process stability and reduce variability
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
1-3 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or assembly engineering
Strong root cause analysis (RCA) and process optimization skills
Experience with data-driven analysis (SPC, KPIs, trend charts)
Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen)
Mechanical aptitude and ability to work hands-on in production
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred (but not required):
Experience in regulated industries (pharma or medical devices)
Proficiency with Minitab or other statistical tools
CAD skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
