Gerresheimer Peachtree City L.P. was established in 1993 in Peachtree City, GA, as part of the Plastics & Devices Division manufacturing and assembling a variety of precision molded plastic parts for various applications in the medical industry. The subsidiary operates in an 132 K sq. ft. production facility with 200 employees.

Job Description

  • Assist the Production Supervisor in overseeing the shift's technical operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day workflow and productivity.
  • Train team members on safe work practices, promoting a culture of safety and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Perform various production tasks under the direction of the Production Supervisor, including machine operation, product assembly, packaging, and inspection to meet specifications.
  • Lead the training of team members on all machines and work instructions, ensuring proper documentation is submitted to HR.
  • Ensure cross-training of all team members to enhance flexibility and operational efficiency.
  • Coach and guide team members, ensuring they understand their tasks and methods for completion.
  • Monitor production runs and respond to electronic production control alarms.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues to prevent defects and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Stay up-to-date with product quality criteria and assist in ensuring all products meet quality requirements.
  • Audit team members' adherence to work instructions and quality standards.
  • Oversee product packaging to ensure first-quality product labeling and correct procedures.
  • Provide relief for machine operators during breaks and support with product staging, palletizing, and warehouse transfers.
  • Supply auxiliary materials and necessary equipment to team members.
  • Assist with assembly equipment setup and scale operation adjustments as required.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards, ensuring production and warehouse areas remain clean and organized.
  • Report any operational issues, sub-par performance, or safety concerns to the Production Supervisor.
  • Ensure compliance with established company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Participate in all training programs, including the GMS system.
  • Act as a backup for the Production Supervisor in their absence or when assigned by management.
  • Complete Work Orders accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Over five years of experience with assembly equipment or material handling.
  • Proficient with a variety of assembly machines and processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in the Medical or Food Industry.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, interacting regularly with operators, technicians, and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for processes and equipment.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
