What You’ll Do:

This is a Full-Time Salary Position

This position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data cubes and data marts to support reporting and analysis, and collaborating with business stakeholders to translate their data needs into technical solutions. The Power BI development aspect focuses on creating intuitive dashboards and reports, implementing custom visualizations and calculations and ensuring data accuracy.

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data cubes and data marts to support reporting and analysis.
  • Optimize data models for performance and scalability.
  • Create intuitive and visually appealing Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security within Power BI reports.
  • Implement write-back capabilities to data cubes and SQL tables using tools like PowerOn.
  • Understand database architecture concepts, including normalization, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Collaborate with database administrators to ensure optimal database performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience
  • Proven experience in data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, R, and Python.
  • Advanced knowledge of Power BI and other data visualization tools.
  • Must have a strong understanding of Data Analysis Expressions (DAX).
  • Experience with write-back processes and tools like PowerOn.
  • Understanding of database architecture and optimization techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  

Additional Information

Environmental Factors & Working Schedule:

  • Hybrid work environment, 2 days in-person attendance (Pittsburgh, PA) in addition to ability to work remotely.
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands or fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear
  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
  • Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include long periods of computer screen usage, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low/moderate
