Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead critical SAP supply chain initiatives in our Vacaville, United States location. In this strategic role, you will oversee the implementation, optimization, and management of SAP supply chain solutions within a pharmaceutical organization. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with exceptional leadership capabilities, driving complex projects to successful completion while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

  • Lead end-to-end SAP supply chain project implementations, from planning through deployment and post-go-live support
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets; monitor progress against key performance indicators and adjust strategies as needed
  • Manage cross-functional teams including IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors; provide clear direction and mentorship to team members
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks and issues; implement corrective actions to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Conduct stakeholder communication and manage expectations across all organizational levels, including executive leadership
  • Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations (FDA, GxP) and organizational governance standards
  • Customize and configure SAP modules (MM, DP, PP, SD) to align with business requirements and best practices
  • Optimize supply chain processes through data analysis and process improvement initiatives
  • Oversee vendor relationships and third-party integrations to support project objectives
  • Document project deliverables, lessons learned, and best practices for organizational knowledge management

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of IT project management experience, with at least 5 years managing SAP implementations or enterprise system projects
  • Demonstrated expertise in SAP supply chain modules (Materials Management, Demand Planning, Production Planning, Sales & Distribution)
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical industry operations, supply chain processes, and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification preferred)
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams in complex, matrix environments
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with ability to influence at all organizational levels
  • Experience managing project budgets, resources, and timelines in large-scale implementations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA or latest SAP technologies
  • Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement certification
  • Change management expertise and experience leading organizational transformation initiatives
  • Experience managing multi-site or global SAP projects
  • Knowledge of FDA compliance, GxP standards, and pharmaceutical regulatory frameworks
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, data analysis tools, and business intelligence platforms
  • Vendor and contract management experience
  • Background in supply chain optimization and logistics
