Job Description
- Identify, measure and record all business transactions relating to Accounts payable and receivables including other business transactions of India operation ( i.e. Fixed assets, Prepaid, Provisions, etc. )
- Prepare and set-up weekly payment batch based on ageing report including Statutory payments within the prescribed timelines.
- Preparation and circulation of Bank advice to vendor
- Preparation of Bank reconciliation and update the outward & inward payments on regular basis. • Assist in Month-end closing activity
- Issue Purchase order for Capex and Opex • Prepare and maintain Fixed asset register (FAR) incl. capitalisation, monthly depreciation run, asset retirement, etc. and which covers depreciation working as per Income tax Act as well.
- Liaise with the Group, Internal and Statutory auditors to provide them with timely and accurate information, as requested.
- Assist reporting manager & team in handling various audits and basic assessment requirements i.e. Statutory, Income tax, GST, other departmental audit, etc.
- Working with the reporting Manager and team to ensure timely compliance w.r.t. payments & regulatory compliances relating to TDS, GST, GST reco with GSTR-2A, quarterly TDS returns, Audit schedule, issuance of Form 16A, etc.
- Ensuring timely preparation and correct filing of monthly / quarterly TDS & GST working including remitting the taxes within the prescribed timelines.
- Collaborating with other accounts & finance team members on activities/projects connected within the overall framework of India finance team
Qualifications
- 6 to 8 years of experience in Accounting and Statutory compliance ( Inter CA – not pursuing CA final in near future / M.Com / B.com graduate with relevant years of experience respectively )
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- The ability to communicate and interact, with a range of audiences.
- Exemplary interpersonal and networking skills.
- Strong awareness of confidentiality and security requirements.
- Working knowledge of MS office.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while staying organized and with minimal direction. • Previous ERP experience in NetSuite, Dynamic 365 or SAP will be an added advantage.
- Previous ITES/ Media/ Entertainment / Service Industry background will be added advantage. Previous MNCs Experience will be an added advantage.
