Job Description

FuseFX Vancouver is currently seeking talented and experienced CG Generalists for current and upcoming projects with a background in television and/or feature film VFX.

Our flagship studio is in Los Angeles, CA, with locations in New York City, Vancouver, BC., and Atlanta. Our Montreal, Toronto, and Bogota studios are serviced by FOLKS VFX, who joined FuseFX in 2020. The Adelaide, Australia studio is serviced by Rising Sun Pictures, who joined FuseFX in 2021.

 

 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Proficiency in Maya and Vray Rendering System
  • Strong knowledge of full cg lighting/characters/environments
  • Experience in Asset Generation, Modelling and Texturing
  • Previous experience with dynamic FX, and/or Particle simulation, Rigid Body and fluid TD experience is a plus.
  • Experience in 3D layout with knowledge of camera and mechanical animation.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment to deliver consistently high-quality work and troubleshoot technical problems on assigned shots.
  • Photo-real shader development using the latest HDRI, GI, and normal mapping techniques
  • Knowledge of applicable software includes: 3dsMax, Houdini, Nuke, Zbrush, Mari, Mudbox, Syntheyes, 3dEquilizer, ptGui, Substance Painter/Designer, and Clarisse.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

SKILLS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • 5+ years’ experience in a production environment
  • Should effectively execute all necessary assigned tasks while under tight production schedule deadlines
  • Experience embracing the balance of quality and time constraints.
  • Strong understanding of lighting principles and color theory
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong creative and technical abilities
  • Positive attitude
  • Work well in a team environment
