Job Description
Frette is seeking a Director of Retail, based out of our NYC Corporate office.
The Director of Retail will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining all retail store strategies to ensure all business goals and plans are exceeded. This individual must be strong-focused, result oriented, and a professional individual with a record of success within an entrepreneurial environment. They are responsible for driving results through a well-rounded and hands on approach in leadership, business development, people focus and store operations.
JOB DUTIES:
- Full P&L responsibility for stores; accountable for leading, developing and driving actions that deliver sales growth and profitability for the organization.
- Exceed divisional sales goals and performance metrics through the implementation of revenue building strategies.
- Exhibits proactive, hands-on approach always in addressing store needs by maintaining consistent presence within the markets.
- Create positive employee relations through building, directing, leading, and developing quality Store Management teams.
- Partner with Human Resources department to maintain division strategies for recruitment, people development, retention, and succession planning.
- Present store training opportunities and partner with appropriate corporate team members to execute.
- Partner with Marketing and store managers to build brand awareness, drive sales and traffic through market outreach and effective in-store events.
- Partner with the Visual Merchandising Manager and Store staff to ensure company standards are maintained at all times.
- Actively partner with CRM, Marketing & Merchandising to define and improve the Frette store experience by working with on the execution of selling ceremonies, service protocols and customer interactions meet standards.
- Partner with Merchandising / Inventory Planning Manager to ensure product and store allocations provide a cohesive strategy and brand experience, driving sales revenue
- Achieve operational excellence through timely monitoring of reports to meet or exceed all financial objectives with regards to expense control, and store contribution.
- Develop and evaluate strategies for opening new stores and new markets.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years as District or Regional Manager in a luxury retail environment.
- Experience with developing and leading clienteling programs and premium service environments.
- Experience with managing store openings, a plus.
- Advanced computer skills - Microsoft Office and POS Systems.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to provide advance reports when analyzing business.
- Proven experience in leadership development, coaching, training and development skills.
- Strong personnel management and retail operations knowledge.
- Proven experience in delivering results.
- Effective time management, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% domestically and internationally by car, plane, and public transportation, requiring overnight stays as necessary.
This role requires up to 75% travel.
