The Revenue Accounting - Lead will be responsible for a) Accounting and analysis of contract acquisition costs; b) Evaluation and accounting of non-standard revenue arrangements; c) Driving process changes and improvements across the revenue accounting org.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the employee sales commissions team and the partner commissions team and drive a center of excellence for the accounting and analysis of customer acquisition costs.

• Take ownership over the accounting of non-standard revenue arrangements- Internal and external marketplace revenues, sale of third party products etc..

• Partnering with multiple stakeholders such as billings, collections, IT Bizapps, IT Analytics etc to implement process improvements across reporting areas.

• Support with ad hoc requests, special projects and provide direct support to the management team.

• Collaborate with the Internal Audit team to establish and ensure compliance with SOX requirements.

Qualifications

• CA/Similar professional qualification/MBA

• Work experience of 4+ years; preferably with a background in SOX/ICFR control frameworks.

• Experience in financial operations, audit and accounting are a bonus.

• Understanding of revenue recognition principles, related accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606) and non GAAP financial metrics particularly in the software and SaaS industry

• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. 

• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify risks, analyze complex data, and provide practical recommendations.

• Strong communication skills required, both written and verbal.

• Excellent organization skills and ability to manage multiple changing priorities along with day-to-day responsibilities.
