Job Description
Freshworks is looking to hire an IT Engineer to support the rapidly growing user base in our US Operations. You will provide desktop, infrastructure, and network support in this role.
- Manage and deploy corporate PCs/Macs (new hardware configuration, image maintenance, diagnosis, and repair, coordinate warranty repairs)
- Manage local network infrastructure
- Work with global IT team in a “follow the sun” support model
- General IT-related tasks, including onboarding of new hires, diagnosing and repairing end-user IT devices, and general IT ticket management
- Inventory and maintain IT asset data (serial numbers, software keys, locations, etc.)
- Shipping, recycling, and disposal of computers, peripherals
- Assist in managing hosted IT applications (Google Apps, intranet, etc.)
- Evaluate and recommend information technologies and applications
- Ensuring that AV hardware and software is prepared to meet the organization's needs.
- Utilizes standard corporate tools to record change and problem activities for tracking purposes.
- Assist in troubleshooting network issues and provide technical support to end-users.
- Provide support and troubleshooting to resolve issues according to the Organization Incident & Change Management Process
- Troubleshoot network issues related to Routers, Switches, WiFi Controllers, Access points, Load Balancers, and Firewalls.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years in an IT desktop, support, administrator, or similar role
- Four-year degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or a related discipline
- Deep experience with MS Windows and Mac OS
- Experienced with Palo Alto Network Topology
- Experience with Slack, GSuite, Office365, AD, and Zoom
- PC/Mac hardware repair, troubleshooting
- Ability to install, upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain all types of software
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
- Extreme customer focus
- Highly motivated individual with experience getting things done in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, and wireless networking.
- Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools.
