Job Description
We seek an experienced leader to serve as the Senior Manager of Strategic
Partnerships - Government Sector, orchestrating strategic collaborations
within the intricate landscape of the Indian Public Sector. This is a Senior
Leader Role open to executive levels with minimum 15 years of relevant
experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
Member of the Freshworks Indian Public Sector Leadership
Team, to bring a strong track record of managing multi-million
dollar partner portfolios in the Indian Public Sector and
Government vertical.
Personally nurture executive relationships with key
government focused partners, ensuring successful revenue
partnerships to serve the Public Sector objectives.
Must have significant experience previously, in a similar
leadership role serving the Public Sector and Government
vertical with a Software and/or IT Services company managing
Channel Resellers/Distributor/VAR Partners.
2. Partnership Management:
Develop and execute a comprehensive channel strategy
focused on building a strong ecosystem of channel partners to
lead the sales and delivery of Freshwork’s Solutions within the
Indian Public Sector.
Identify and onboard strategic partners aligned with
organizational goals, ensuring a well-rounded partner
ecosystem.
Understand and support our Partners within the Partner
Program guidelines including Joint Business Planning, Territory
Planning, Opportunity and Sales Reviews, and Marketing and
Pipeline programs with the Partner.
Manage the Identification and Recruitment of our Channel
Partner ecosystem.
3. Business Development:
Lead the identification of new business opportunities and drive
revenue growth through effective collaboration with partners.
Develop and implement sales strategies to penetrate target
markets, leveraging existing relationships and creating new
ones.
4. Stakeholder Engagement:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in
the Indian Public Sector, including government officials,
agencies, and other relevant entities.
Act as the primary point of contact for partners, addressing
their needs and concerns while ensuring alignment with
organizational objectives.
5. Market Intelligence:
Stay abreast of industry trends, government policies, and
market dynamics affecting the Public Sector in India.
Utilize market intelligence to identify opportunities and risks,
adapting strategies accordingly.
6. Team Leadership:
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous
improvement within the team.
7. Performance Metrics and Reporting:
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure
the success of channel programs.
Provide regular, insightful reports to senior leadership on
channel performance, highlighting achievements and areas for
improvement.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Master's degree in [relevant field]; MBA preferred.
Proven track record of 15+ years Channel Sales in Government and
Public Sector in India with Leading Software and/or IT companies.
Executive-level roles of Software Sales through Channel Partners
with Channel Resellers, Distributors, and VARs focused in
government sector sales.
Deep understanding of the intricate regulatory and procurement
landscape within the Indian Public Sector.
Exceptional negotiation and diplomacy skills, with a history of
securing high-value, strategic partnerships specifically within
government sector.
Visionary leadership style, capable of navigating a start-up team
and subject matter expert in the organization towards operations in
the public sector.
