Program Description
Freshworks for Startup equips early-stage businesses with access to our products and other resources for growth. The program is in partnership with certain accelerators, incubators, and VCs, offering credits to Freshworks products to their members. Additionally, Freshworks offers access to other resources that are vital to an early-stage business such as marketing and networking opportunities, mentorship, and preferred onboarding. The aim of this program is to promote Freshworks among emerging businesses and build lasting relationships with them.
Job Description
Your responsibilities will include working with accelerators, incubators, and VC to drive business and technical relationships, educate startups in a scalable approach to drive new customer acquisition, and enable the sales team to drive effective and frictionless interactions with startups. You will have the exciting opportunity to work with partners internationally, forging an impressive network of VCs and Accelerator contacts.
Your responsibilities will include working very closely with the global startup partnerships org, focusing on driving revenue, product adoption, and market penetration within the various customer segments including startups, scale-ups, and bootstrapped entrepreneurs. We're looking for people who possess a business development/sales background and are hungry and motivated to work with a high volume of partners across a large geographic region.
In this role, you’ll get to:
Explore new partnership opportunities with VC, Accelerators, and Incubators, and onboarding them as partners in the program
Manage existing startup partners to help them enable their portfolio companies to grow better.
Nurture strategic relationships with the partner network in the region to drive more startups and growth of the program
Establish an image of reliability and earnestness, while ensuring partners remain equally accountable.
Educate startups on sales, marketing, and service strategies for growth, and about Freshworks’ startup program.
Serve as the chief evangelist for the program and work with sales and marketing teams to build various engagement initiatives to make sure the partner and startup have a seamless experience.
Work closely with the Startup Program leadership to share market research, partnership development, and startup development.
Qualifications
Key Competencies we’re looking for:
● Entrepreneurial mind set, to understand and relate to challenges faced by startups and ability to strategize and build solutions through startup program
● Proactive, collaborative, self-driven, go-getter, risk-taker, persuader and influencer, persistent, action-oriented, change driver
● Healthy negotiation skills and business & financial acumen
● 3 - 7 yrs of experience working with VCs, accelerators, incubators and startup ecosystems and/or working for or within a startup
● Strong Partnerships and Business Development skills
● Understanding of the startup ecosystem value chain in terms of accelerators, incubators, and venture capital industries
● Comfortable and capable of giving public presentations Ability to work with global teams
● Detail-oriented and data-driven decision making
● Desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals such as MRR, the number of new partnerships, and the number of new customers in your geographical region ● Have compassion and empathy for others
● Have great communication skills
