Job Description

This Project Manager - EU will be able to lead a team of external consultants and contractors. They should have Construction and Retail experience of all types of projects from clean developer shells through to strip out/refit of high street, retail park, and shopping centre units and be capable of managing multiple projects at any one time. An ability to persuade senior stakeholders and control projects in a fast-paced environment.
*This role can be based in any country That allows the post-holder to travel with ease to Romania, Bulgaria and Czech Republic.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Covering the Central & Eastern European area (specifically Romania, Bulgaria and Czech Republic)
- Develop and maintain a team of pre-qualified partners both within the business and external resource.
- Assign appropriate design teams to projects.
- Work closely with Head of Project Management and Senior Project Managers to select the appropriate Contracts and Tender process.
- Manage project Capex from Approval Stage to Final Account in conjunction with QS and inhouse Cost Managers.
- Responsible for the health and safety of all construction activity.
- Ensure the Frasers Retail Brand DNA is protected; strive to constantly improve the process and quality.
- Manage relationships with external partners as required.
- Interface with Head of Project Management, Procurement Teams and Cost Teams to ensure strategies meet the pipeline requirement.
- Communicate monthly programme update via Flash Reports.
- Championing the use of best practices, accuracy of construction documents and technical discipline.
- Ensure Mechanical, Electrical and Sprinkler specifications are maintained as necessary.
- Utilise and improve Airtable, BIM360/ACC tools.
- Conduct annual KPI reviews on key external partners.
- Project Types will cover but not be limited to – New Stores, Refurbishments and Extensions in UK and EU.
Qualifications
- Excellent English language skills
- A Qualification in Project/Construction Management, and 5+ years of experience in Retail Project/Construction Management or suitable vocational experience.
- Holding or actively working towards, Chartered membership of a construction related professional body or other professional accreditation e.g APM / PMI.
- Knowledge and understanding of EU country specific permitting, procedures and construction delivery methodology within all regions. ( or the ability to source information specific to those regions )
- An in-depth experience of projects exceeding £1m. • Sound knowledge of legal and contractual frameworks.
- Experience of all construction stages of the design process from conception through to delivery.
- Detailed experience of Retail Construction coupled with good understanding of Building Regulations and Compliance.
- Thorough knowledge of architectural drawings and specifications for construction document production.
- Must have a high level of financial appraisal skill.
- Knowledge of shop-fit standards, details, and construction.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and trouble shoot during a project.
- Strong leadership skills with a can-do attitude and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to build, mentor and develop a high performing external teams.
- Must be able to work well under tight deadlines and able to reprioritise efficiently.
- Self-starter able to work under own initiative. • Excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must have a critical eye for detail.
- Ability to travel globally when required.
- Great interpersonal skills.
