Overview:

We are looking for a diligent and organised Bar Cellar Supervisor to oversee all aspects of our cellar operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, stock management, and beverage quality. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth flow of service from the cellar to the bar, helping to maintain the integrity of our drink offerings.

Hours of work: 

This role is offered on a Casual Worker basis with no guarantee of work. 

Shift assignments are fully flexible and may include early starts, late finishes and weekend working 

Rates of pay for this role start from £12.95p/h 

 

Job Description

  • Oversee daily cellar operations, including receiving, storing, and rotating stock.
  • Maintain beer lines, clean regularly, and ensure correct cellar temperatures.
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels of kegs, gas, and bottled products.
  • Liaise with suppliers and delivery drivers to manage and check deliveries.
  • Ensure all drinks are served in peak condition by monitoring quality and presentation.
  • Assist with monthly stock takes and report discrepancies.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety and food hygiene regulations.
  • Support the bar team with operational duties during peak periods as needed.
  • Train team members on correct cellar and drink handling procedures.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a bar or pub environment, ideally in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of cellar operations, beer line cleaning, and stock control.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (barrels, kegs).
  • Knowledge of UK health & safety regulations relating to cellar and bar operations.
  • A personal licence (desirable but not essential).
  • Confident communicator and team player.
