ABOUT THE JOB

In this role you will deliver critical business analysis and insight through partnership with our business leaders. While reporting to the Controller of the Milwaukee Operations, the Financial Analyst plays a critical role in our financial reporting & analysis, planning & consolidation processes, and key strategic initiatives.  This position supports the global operations and supply chain teams and will play a key role in driving cost improvement, developing strategic analysis, and implementing financial best practices.  This individual will have the opportunity to work with executive leadership and cross-functional teams in the corporate office and the manufacturing sites.

YOUR ROLE:

• Consolidate and analyze operations financial performance while implementing best practices in reporting, forecasting, and planning
• Develop and communicate financial insights, metrics, and reports related standard costs, manufacturing variances, labor productivity, and total plant performance
• Contribute to month-end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, expense reviews, and resolution of unusual items and issues
• Partner with the controller and plant leadership to develop the annual budget and monthly forecasts based on business drivers, while communicating changes and providing guidance on potential risks
• Lead annual standard cost development and update processes ensuring accuracy and consistency across work centers and departments
• Support key strategic initiatives to reduce operating complexity, improve capacity utilization, and reduce costs
• Partner with Engineering in cost improvement analysis and project execution
• Coordinate with the corporate controller’s organization to ensure proper financial reporting and audit support within the manufacturing sites
• Support make/buy and capital investments analysis for corporate initiatives
• Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
• Seek to continuously simplify and improve processes and procedures, while maintaining documentation of all responsibilities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 2-5 years of finance related experience
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional technical skills & analytical ability
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build partnerships throughout the organization

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Previous experience with Oracle EBS and Hyperion financial systems - preferred
• Experience working with high velocity consumer products
• Exceptional technical skills & analytical ability
• Ability to prioritize tasks and quickly react to changing business needs
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
