In Fortune Brands Innovation, Inc. we're looking a Laboratory Technician for our New Innovation Center in Nuevo Leon, you will learn many facets of the manufacturing and engineering process.  You will use your mechanical and mathematical skills to work with Engineering and Marketing in developing and testing new and innovative products. Using your problem-solving abilities, you will determine failure modes and suggest improvements to testing applications. Overall, you will gain technical knowledge, skills, and experience to contribute to making quality products.

Job Description

  • Responsible for setting up and running tests based on Engineering Test Requests.  This requires understanding the operation of key pieces of test equipment.  Some basic machining or assembly of test fixtures may be required. 
  • Compile accurate test data and create test report.  Test reports will contain special testing parameters, photographs, and part conformance to the test standards along with any abnormal results.  Microsoft Excel and Word knowledge is required.
  • Manage several tests at the same time.  Time management skills required in order to meet project timelines. 
  • Collaborate with technicians, Engineers, and plant personnel to ensure proper test methods and outcomes of test results are clear.
  • Operation of and basic maintenance of various equipment. 
  • Reading and interpreting test methods / standards and following test standards with extreme accuracy to ensure integrity of tests. 
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas
  • Load and Unload trucks / move material within the lab with Forklift or other mechanical device.
  • Basic shipping and receiving skills including creating labels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree / Technical Career 
  • Computer skills with Microsoft software
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Ability to use power tools and obtain forklift operators’ certificate
