Job Description
ABOUT THE JOB
In this role you will have the opportunity to ensure safe material handling duties. Our fast-paced work environment requires that our forklift and other powered industrial trucks are operated in a safe and efficient manner. You will play a key role in ensuring we meet daily production demands while also complying with our expectations for safe PIT operation.
YOUR ROLE:
· The bullet points below reflect roughly 80% of your job. We are a fast-paced company, you may be pulled in a variety of different directions with tasks added or changed.
· Safely operate powered industrial truck - always putting associate safety above production output.
· Move product utilizing various types of powered industrial trucks, including sit down, stand up, and walkie-style.
· Utilize Handheld scanner and E-21 or Great Plains to accurately place and retrieve needed materials in a timely manner.
· Utilize tablet PCs and MES to ensure accurate production status to management team.
· Responsible for daily PIT Inspections.
· Must keep plus level eligibility
· Supplying skins to BDL/CDL/Saws
· Other duties as assigned or defined by the area Supervisor or Group Lead.
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Graduate/HSE or equivalent manufacturing experience
· Ability to obtain Fork Lift Certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Previous experience operating a powered industrial truck in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· While performing the duties of this job, the associate works around mechanical hazards, noise and or vibration daily. Extreme temperatures, wetness / humidity and being outdoors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
· Ability to run respective inventory system (Great Plains, E21, MES etc.).
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to complete daily Pre-Use Inspection Sheets.
